Mill Name
Constructed in 1912, the Royal Mill in Manchester occupied part of the earlier McConnel & Kennedy Mills site. Originally named the New Old Mill, the change to Royal Mill was adopted following a visit from King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1942.
