The Christie charity raises money for a wide range of projects and initiatives within the hospital. The charity provides continuous funding for a number of projects and services throughout the hospital including the Cancer Information Centre, Wig Service, Art Room and Complementary Therapies.
Since 2014 we’ve raised over £6000 for The Christie and we’re not stopping there! With great beans comes great responsibility and we’re committed to upholding our dedication to helping out the local community. From the beginning of Rcoffee we’ve been raising money for The Christie and we intend to carry on.
Unfortunately, Roger’s father suffered from and passed away due to prostate cancer. Even though his battle was not won, Roger was determined to use the business to help raise funds for The Christie to ensure their life changing research and patient care could continue. The Christie support people from all over the UK but are based right here in our home turf of Manchester and they make such a positive impact on our community.
The fact is that you’re only ever one person away from someone who has had The Christie affect their lives: be it their own illness or that of someone they love or perhaps even as part of The Christie Team. To help them continue their affirmative presence in peoples lives, Rcoffee make a monthly donation to the charity and are proud to fly the flag for this essential service.
We are also raising money for major developments including the Proton Beam Therapy centre and Integrated Procedures unit.
